A practical industry playbook

AI visibility for
hotels.

Make room details, booking policies and location facts readable so travelers can assess a stay beyond a generic amenity list.

Traveler constraints deserve precise answers

A hotel can be a good fit for one trip and a poor fit for another. Describe room configurations, accessibility features, check-in hours and actual location rather than repeating “ideal for everyone.” Link to the policy that governs a booking and identify where conditions vary by rate. A map embed alone is not enough to explain proximity or transportation.

Make the stay understandable

  • Publish room types, sleeping arrangements and accessible-room features in text.
  • Describe transport options without inventing travel times or claiming an exact distance without checking it.
  • State cancellation, deposit and check-in rules with the applicable booking conditions.
  • Keep amenity availability current, including seasonal facilities and renovation notices.

Represent accommodation accurately

Consider Hotel for the property and HotelRoom for a real room type. Use Offer only when the rate and terms are current and visible. An illustrative summary might say: “[Brand] offers step-free access to [verified areas]; accessible rooms must be requested through [booking route].” Specific facts are more useful than an unsupported accessibility label. Booking-engine pages and the marketing site should not contradict each other.

Sample the trip you actually serve

Keep destination, dates if relevant and traveler constraints consistent. A hotel mention in a city overview does not establish that a suitable room is available. Review citations for outdated policy pages and separate location accuracy from price availability. The audit checks the page surface, not inventory or a completed booking.
