A practical industry playbook

AI visibility for
home services.

Make service boundaries, job types and booking conditions clear for homeowners with a specific repair need.

Describe the job you will actually take

Homeowners need to distinguish emergency repair, scheduled maintenance and installation. State the trades and equipment handled, the coverage area and any exclusions. A service page should answer those questions in visible text, not only through an intake form. Do not create dozens of city pages unless each contains truthful, useful local information.

Make the booking facts useful

  • Publish licensing or insurance statements only when they can be substantiated.
  • State service areas and clarify any travel charges or call-out conditions.
  • Explain how a quote is prepared and whether diagnostic visits are billable.
  • Keep emergency availability and contact instructions current.

Choose a business type that fits

HomeAndConstructionBusiness or a suitable specific subtype can describe the provider; Service can describe a defined job. An illustrative summary might read: “[Brand] services [equipment type] in [verified area]; installation quotes follow an on-site assessment.” Do not turn limited operating hours into a 24-hour claim. Markup and public contact details should match the actual service.

Keep samples tied to the area

A general trade recommendation is not evidence of availability for a particular address. Use the same area and job class over repeated runs. Check whether citations lead to a correct service page or an old directory record. A synthetic mention cannot establish workmanship quality, response time or qualification to perform a job.
