About CiteVisor.
How we check and write.

CiteVisor checks whether AI search crawlers can reach and read a public page, explains what to fix, and publishes the guides behind those checks. We describe technical readiness and never promise rankings or AI mentions.

What CiteVisor is

CiteVisor is an independent product. The free AI visibility checker audits one public page at a time. Paid plans add weekly answer monitoring across ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity, and a one-time repair report covers a full site. Everything on this site is about the technical path between a page and an answer engine: crawler access, indexing, structured data and readable content.

How the checker scores a page

The checker reads the raw HTML of the submitted page, its robots.txt, its sitemap and an optional llms.txt. It does not run the page's JavaScript, so it sees what a crawler sees on first fetch. It runs 26 checks: nineteen are weighted and add up to 100 points, and seven are reported with zero weight because they reflect a site owner's choice, such as allowing training crawlers. The full list, with points and fixes, is in the GEO audit checklist.

Requests come from the CiteVisorAudit crawler only when someone submits a URL. Its scope, limits and opt-out are described on the crawler page.

How guides are written

Guides are written and reviewed by CiteVisor Editorial, the team that builds the checker. Each guide links to the crawler operator's or platform's own documentation for every rule it states, and shows the date it was last reviewed against those sources. When an operator changes its documentation, we update the guide and its review date.

We do not publish rankings or “which brand does ChatGPT recommend” lists built from simulated data. Example reports on this site are labeled as synthetic.

Comparisons and independence

CiteVisor has no affiliation with the tools on our comparison pages. Their prices are a dated snapshot from public pricing pages or third-party reviews, as noted on each page; confirm the current offer with the provider before buying.

Corrections

If a guide, comparison or check result is wrong, email contact@citevisor.com with the page and the source that shows the error. We check the source, correct the page and update its review date.

Your data

What we store for an audit, how long we keep it and how to delete it are set out in the privacy notice. The terms describe what the service does and does not cover.
